Smalltown USA

I just read a post where someone asked how can such awesomeness come from a small town--referring to a place in Georgia.

Even though I live outside of St Louis, I don't knock my hometown. Your hometown is where you have your roots. Your foundation. Family. Friends. The people who helped to cultivate who you are. Your heritage! Read Jehoshaphat's story One way or another, your hometown, flaws and all, plays a part in your future.

There's a book called What Southern Women Know (That Every Woman Should). It's true. Southern hospitality is real and I miss it so much. The mentality out here is different and as soon as God releases me, South here I come!

Leaving your nest to grow is a part of nature's design. But as the wise songwriter said, "making your way in the world today takes everything you got. Taking a break from all your worries sure would help a lot. Wouldn't you like to get away? Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see your troubles are all the same. You wanna go where everybody knows your name." Catch that, did you?

And that's home for me! Good ol' Sylvester, Georgia!

Share one great thing about your hometown!
