How Blogging Helped Change My Life

That's why I can say yeah--I think I'm happy now! ~ from my first blog post  16 Oct 2011

And the next few years went a little something like this:
Yeah! I THINK I’m….happy.
Yeah? I think I’m happy?
Yeah! I THINK I’m happy.
Yeah! I think I’m happy! Yeah! …Happy!

LOL!  It’s been an insightful and, at times, surprising exploration of happiness. Some of you have joined in and helped others and me with your thoughts and stories. Many thanks to you and to everyone for being here!

This blog has been a testament to self-exploration—it’s good for the soul. It’s been proof as to why we need to ask ourselves the uncomfortable and probing questions about how we live and view our lives.  No one’s going to do it for you.

Well, I’ve asked, contemplated, laughed, cried, wondered, and came to a realization.

Happiness is being in relationship with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. Happiness is enjoying the bountiful blessings of this earth that our Heavenly Father has created for us. Happiness, for me, now includes enjoying a more fit life, cooking and finding new and interesting ingredients to sample!  After all, God did say that:

“Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. ~Gen 1:28-31

And on that note, I invite you to continue blogging along with me into a new chapter:
