“I get way too much happiness from good food." ~ Elizabeth Olsen

Lizzie Olsen, you’re preaching to the choir. Friends, from my pictures, you can see that obviously I had plenty of moments where I was downright ecstatic about food! LOL Laughing now, but please know I’ve learned my lesson.

I still get way too much happiness from good food. I’m a foodie. Yes, I know some people have an aversion to that term, but it’s redefined my experience with food. I’m constantly exploring different cooking styles, how to use fresh herbs and diverse ingredients in food prep. Who knew delicious chicken didn’t have to swim in hot grease? Matter of fact, I very rarely fry anything (can’t think of the last time…hmm). And ground turkey in tacos? Yum!

Was someone thinking kitchen gadgets? Glad you thought of it! Confess. You know gadgets make cooking fun. What’s your favorite? I love my garlic press, handheld grater, and kitchen shears. My next purchase may be a butcher's block table.

The moral of the story: In the past, I got way too much happiness from what I thought was good food, and I still indulge from time to time. I’m a W-I-P. Today, I get way too much happiness from eating good-for-me food and discovering new and healthy ways to expand my palette.

Would love to hear from my other foodies and gadget lovers out there!  Share your story about how you've changed your "relationship" with food.
