1 Down! 11 More to Go!

Time to check in! How are you progressing on your New Year’s resolutions so far? It’s 30 days later. What have you accomplished? How do you ensure you stay committed to your resolutions/goals?

I realized that I need visual reminders. I have my overall life goals, and I pray every day to stay in God’s will and plan for me. Plus, I'm tried something different this year—developing a monthly plan. Each month I’m going to develop smaller objectives that will lead to the successful manifestation of my bigger goals. I also have a book of the month to complete that will enrich my spiritual, personal and professional development.

Wow! What a difference! I’m more excited, inspired, engaged, and feeling accomplished. I really didn’t set any resolutions. Just promised myself to keep making healthy and positive choices while seeking God’s guidance in all that I do.

So how am I doing so far? According to my doctor's visit a couple of weeks ago, I'm still dropping pounds and inches thankfully.  I've working on some professional development courses, and I'm completing my study of My Money Grows on Trees by Zari Banks

Sound off!  How is 2014 going for you?

I’m Trinka Polite! Georgia native! Aunt Extraordinaire (at least I think so)! Lover of divinely delicious food! Servant of God and I gratefully accept my calling as counselor, poet, and speaker. My mission?

As a counselor, it is to empower you to access your full potential and live more authentically!

As a poet, it is to share words to inspire love, deliverance from hurtful situations and encourage a renewed relationship with God.

As a speaker, it is to provide a dynamic experience which will actively engage you and your group in learning and growing.

My professional background includes over 14 years as a Career Counselor providing education planning and career guidance.  I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and National Board Certified Counselor with a Master’s degree in Psychology.  My publications include After the Sixth Day: Notes from a Spiritual Journey and Pain is Fertile Ground—poetry collections focused on spiritual awakening and growth.

On a more personal note, the southern lady that I am loves to cook (have you seen my Pinterest board?) and have fun with my family!  Are there any two things that bring more joy to a G.R.I.T.S. (Girl raised in the south)? Lol

I hope we stay connected because new ventures are on the way to enlighten your mind and to partner with you to chart a course for your success!

Peace & Blessings!
