The Theme? Themes!

As much as I love writing, I'm exploring new blogging ideas. By the way, thank you immensely for sticking around!

Just to let you know what's happening in my life, it's my first time writing a novel. I've realized that it takes acute focus and a lot of research to complete such a project. Wooo! :-) Now in the middle of character research for my first novel, I get inspiration for another creative writing project. I'm loving it!  Yet, at the same time, I want you to know that I appreciate your being here. I hope you are enjoying the weekly mantras. And don't be shy! Comment with what inspires you! I'd love to read about it!

Now I want to introduce Wordless Wednesdays. Yes, I'm enjoying the themes. LOL The idea came from Melissa Ford over on BlogHer. It's perfect, because I believe pictures and art are just as powerful as words. So you guessed it--on Wednesdays, I want us to share pictures that speak to us.

Remember the premise of this blog~Yeah, I Think I'm Happy~ is to explore the concept of happiness. Positive words and intriguing pictures have always been small ways for me to feel happiness in a huge way! :-)  Can't wait to see your pics!  Here is my first of many:

I’m Trinka Polite! Georgia native! Aunt Extraordinaire (at least I think so)! Lover of divinely delicious food! Servant of God and I gratefully accept my calling as counselor, poet, and speaker. My mission?

As a counselor, it is to empower you to access your full potential and live more authentically!

As a poet, it is to share words to inspire love, deliverance from hurtful situations and encourage a renewed relationship with God.

As a speaker, it is to provide a dynamic experience which will actively engage you and your group in learning and growing.

My professional background includes over 14 years as a Career Counselor providing education planning and career guidance.  I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and National Board Certified Counselor with a Master’s degree in Psychology.  My publications include After the Sixth Day: Notes from a Spiritual Journey and Pain is Fertile Ground—poetry collections focused on spiritual awakening and growth.

On a more personal note, the southern lady that I am loves to cook (have you seen my Pinterest board?) and have fun with my family!  Are there any two things that bring more joy to a G.R.I.T.S. (Girl raised in the south)? Lol

I hope we stay connected because new ventures are on the way to enlighten your mind and to partner with you to chart a course for your success!

Peace & Blessings!
