The Next Big Thing--Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Are you an avid reader? I am! Love books! Love to read! Love to write!

This week I’m participating in a Blog Hop! It’s a fun way for you to learn a little about me as an author. Then, you’re invited to hop over to the blogs of my fellow author friends. The links are provided below. They will also have other authors listed who you can visit!
You’re sure to discover a great read or two to add to your library! Thanks to Dee Ann Waite for inviting me!

Q: What is the title of your book?

A: After the Sixth Day: Notes from a Spiritual Journey

Q: Where did the idea come from for the book?

A: I was originally researching the idea of writing a spiritual memoir. During that process, I had an “aha” moment--I realized that my poetry told the story of my spiritual journey. Life gave me a period of difficult and painful times. By surrendering to what I was going through, I was led to my awakening. That’s when I realized that every life experience served me in one way or another, and it does for everyone else too! Therefore, I poured my heart into writing and publishing After the Sixth Day as a way of letting someone know that he or she is not alone. Keep moving forward. There is a blessing in the journey…

Q: What genre does your book fall under?

A: Poetry

Q: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

A: Searching for a way to chronicle my journey of spiritual awakening, I realized that my poetry tells the story.

Q: Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

A: My book was self-published. What a wonderful learning experience, and I’m still learning!

Q: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

A: approximately 6 months. It is my first book. Once I started writing, I realized that writing was my passion. I have an idea for a second edition of After the Sixth Day, plus I’ve started on the draft of my first novel.

Q: Who or What inspired you to write this book?

A: I would have to say divine intervention, because it wasn’t on my to-do list. *smile* When the idea came to me, my mind was flooded all at once with many thoughts. I wrote for days before I took a break. It was in those first few days that I was inspired and wrote the outlines for the current book and my two works-in-progress. So please stay tuned and stay connected!

Q: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

A: I'll let you decide! *wink* Take a look inside at this link: amazon.com/author/trinkapolite
